Scott has more than 25 years of financial markets and investment experience, holding senior positions mainly at JPMorgan. Scott has a strong track record of establishing and growing investment businesses in the U.S. and internationally. He also has in depth experience in product innovation and structuring, solutions-oriented sales and marketing, project management, and designing operational infrastructures.

Scott has significant global experience – having worked in New York & London, and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Middle East & Asia. He is adept at raising capital across the institutional, consultant, HNW and retail channels. Scott also has extensive knowledge across financial markets, asset classes and investment strategies, including hedge funds, private equity, and structured products. He is proficient at organizing and executing complex, high-impact undertakings, as well as drafting and negotiating complex legal contracts.

Before joining BQ, Scott was a Managing Director at JPMorgan’s Alternative Asset Management group, (JPMAAM). JPMAAM managed and advised on $12 billion in an array of hedge fund portfolios and private credit strategies.

Scott was responsible for new client development, relationship management and customization of investment solutions for JPMAAM’s U.S. institutional investors, and for developing and launching JPMAAM’s liquid alternative strategy in the U.S. retail and wholesale markets. Scott was also a key contributor to designing JPMAAM’s global strategic positioning and branding.

Scott drove the transformation and re-branding of JPMAAM’s U.S. institutional business, materially grew assets and expanded the client base, along with the range of product offerings. This included raising several billion dollars, and pioneering client engagement techniques to cross-sell, build-out and monetize multi-year client pipelines. Scott was both a high impact, individual contributor, as well as the Series 24 Securities supervisor for an 11-person team.

Prior to this, Mr. Stein had relocated to London, England, to establish and manage JPMAAM’s first international office, raising over $1 billion from new clients in over 20 new regions. Scott built the London office into one of JPMAAM’s fastest growing and largest business units, by partnering with and leading cross border teams to establish and execute a new operating model, sales and product strategies. Mr. Stein’s clients included governmental agencies, central banks, pension plans, endowments, universities, and insurance companies located in the U.K., Continental Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Scott began his career as an analyst in Chase’s Capital Markets and Foreign Exchange division, and also completed Chase’s 12-month Corporate Finance and Credit training program.

Mr. Stein earned his BA degree in Management from Hofstra University and an Executive MBA in International Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
